Reviews:

g4tv.com  EyeToy:Kinetic succeeds where other fitness-oriented programs fail because you are literally an active participant in the program instead of mimicking steps or following commands. The minigames are also structured like classic arcade titles in that you want to see how many levels you can reach before time expires, or compare high scores to friends and family members. Since you are so involved with the activities, 30-minute sessions go by quickly, making the program something to look forward to instead of dreading.   Read the rest of this review...
CNET.com.au by By Randolph Ramsay  As an exercise program, EyeToy: Kinetic is a winner -- it's got a great mix of workout routines, it can cater for an individual's fitness level and its trainers are appealing without being pushy. Those with a keen interest in their health will probably flock to it because of the convenience it offers, opening up the PS2's audience far beyond the regular games player.  Read the rest of this review...

I was pretty skeptical about this. The truth is that you can wimp out on this just as easily as you can on any workout routine. But I think that if you need some help in the motivation dept., then this is worth considering. I bought it out of curiosity, and to have something useful to use my old PS2 for.

If you get into the games, then you will definitely sweat and feel the workout. They are challenging, but it helps to have the guy cheering you on and encouraging you. I lose track of time using this game, and almost always am surprised when the time is up and I'm finished. On most workout DVD's, I'm counting the minutes until it's over. That is probably the best thing about Kinetic. It makes a workout fly by.

You do need to take some time when you first get it to get the lighting right in your workout space, but it isn't to hard and only took me about 15 minutes to set it up the first time, and after that it was easy.
