In this fun and educational game from Cisco systems, Peter Packet helps kids understand the Internet and how it works. Peter must deliver a life saving message and you are in control of Peter as he
runs, jumps and flies past obstacles.
Many children know how to use computers, yet their knowledge is often quite
limited. They may know how to send and receive e-mail, download files, chat
online, word process, create presentations for school, and surf the Internet,
but they may not understand:
- Why all this works for them.
- How hackers and
viruses can keep them from doing what they like to do on the computer.
- How
computers can be used to help others.
- How to be safe online.
Game Video:
The Peter Packet Theme Song!
Peter Packet hears the call
On Internet protocol
Jumping through the
firewall
(Peter Packet!)
For every path that he takes
A router tries
not to make
bandwidth mistakes.
CHORUS:
Peter Packet is on the go,
Helping the world—you can't go
slow
Peter Packet is on the go, on the go
(Peter Packet!)
A server sends the packets out
Each one takes a different route.
Speed
is what it's all about
Dodging all viruses
Trying not to get caught
In
the hacker's net.
CHORUS:
Peter Packet is on the go,
Helping the world—you can't go
slow
Peter Packet is on the go, on the go
(Peter Packet!)
And if you enjoy Peter Packet, try Penny Packet!

Nice game from Cisco.JHarlish, RegisteredThis is a fun little game about how the internet works (well sort of ![[smiley=happy]](http://www.supersmartgames.com/components/com_jreactions/custom/templates/simple/smileys/smiley_happy.gif) ). My grand kids love to play this and more than anything they love the theme song! They dance around and sing along to it. I can't really say that they learn anything terrible useful about packets, but the stories are good-natured. 2. (and that song really is catchy!) I like this game mostly for the stories it tells about helping kids in other parts of the world. The solutions to the problems are a little simplistic, but this is a game for kids, so it's hard to complain. One of the better free games online. |
